Omega has two neck braces that will take energy away from the neck and sternum in the event of a crash, lowering the possibility of a life-threatening injury. Both models, the original Omega K1 Neck Brace and the new Omega X1, have a rigid poly-alloy chassis that is the main feature when talking about energy being dispersed away from the neck and sternum.
Although they offer a great deal of protection, both Omega neck braces are very comfortable. An adjustable suspension system allows you to get the perfect, near custom fit. This makes the brace even more comfortable, and also lets you have less restriction. The only difference between the two braces is that the newer X1 has a lower profile, giving you even more room to adjust the suspension.
The Omega braces are topped off with a nice set of pads, so they aren’t rigid. The pads that your helmet rests upon can be removed and washed, keeping your brace looking great. If you get a stain that you just can’t get out, or rip a hole in the pads, don’t fret. Omega offers a Replacement Pad Kit, so no one will know a difference.
Lastly, convenience. Both of the Omega neck braces have a chassis that is capable of folding, making them easy to put in your gear bag!
