661 Motocross Helmet

661 Motocross Helmets

661 not only makes some of the coolest looking helmets for motocross riders, but some of the safest, as well. Another important factor for a lot of riders is expense, and 661 has you covered on that, too. They currently have two helmets available, the Flight II and Fenix. Each comes in a wide variety of designs and color schemes.

Their Flight II helmet has been developed with the style of the previous Flight helmet in mind. The fit has been updated, giving you better comfort, and inner air vents and channels increase airflow, keeping you cool, dry, and comfortable. A Nylex comfort liner and cheek pads help control moisture even further. A removable and washable EPS foam liner betters the fit and allows you to keep the helmet clean, while an adjustable visor helps you get the vision and sun protection that you need for each ride. The helmet is constructed with an injection molded thermal alloy resin polycarbonate shell, keeping it lightweight and decreasing neck fatigue. The 661 Flight II exceeds Snell, DOT, and ECE 22 standards. With a lower price point, the Flight II is a wonderful choice for those who want a less expensive helmet without compromising their safety.

The 661 Fenix is a new helmet, and is possibly the most functional and stylish 661 helmet yet. The Fenix’s shell has been created with a high-tech Kevlar, Carbon Fiber, and Fiberglass composite, making it extremely strong yet very lightweight. Airflow is definitely not a problem where the Fenix is concerned. Three external plastic intake vents mixed with an EPS liner provide exceptional airflow. A molded, rubber eye port and larger mouth vent also increase airflow and ventilation. A Savoir comfort liner, cheek pads, and strap liners are used to increase comfort, and can be removed and washed.

In addition to the overall weight and comfort of the Fenix, it also has other great features. A wider goggle port has been created, giving you better peripheral vision, and allowing for the goggles to sit on the face easier. A longer and wider chin bar has been used, too, increasing comfort, as well as protection from roost. The Fenix comes in five designs, and exceeds all Snell M2005, US, AU, and CE DOT standards.
